On January 26, 2018, WiRE hosted an insightful discussion on the state and future of firm renewable energy (including biogas, geothermal and biofuels) in Hawaii.

Panelists included: Nicole Lautze, PhD, Faculty, University of Hawaii; Kelly King, Founder, Pacific Biodiesel; and, Aaron Kirk, VP Sales & Marketing, Hawaii Gas.

Topics of discussion included an update on the progress and opportunities for firm renewable energy resource production and generation in Hawaii and how those resources fit with utility plans.
