NEW! WiRE COVID Professional Development Fund for furloughed or unemployed members

Apply Here and check out the WiRE COVID Fund.

During this challenging and uncertain time, the Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) Executive Board would like to send our thoughts and well-wishes to each and every WiRE member and their loved ones.
Now, more than ever, the work we do to bring about a sustainable Hawaii powered by clean energy is critical in order to emerge from one of the biggest health and economic crises of our lifetimes stronger and more resilient.

As we take stock amongst our membership, we realize that in the ‘new normal’ COVID 19 impacts us in different ways. Some of us may be furloughed or have stalled projects and reduced clientele. Others may be facing safety concerns as essential workers. For those that are fortunate enough to work remotely, we are learning to juggle workspace partners, caring for children or extended family and/or managing a distance learning curriculum.

Between now and August 30, 2020, we are offering up to $500 in professional development support to any furloughed or unemployed WiRE member, on a first come first serve basis until $2,000 in funding is exhausted. Apply Here and check WiRE COVID Fund.

Recover to YOU! Webinar

WiRE hosted our first virtual event due to the impacts of COVID-19 called Recover to YOU! A restorative virtual workshop led by Executive Coach Sydney Wiecking on Thursday, May 14th from 2:00 – 3:00pm.

As women, our natural default tendency is to turn outward to care for others. We are called to be at our best every moment of every day, and often nights.  What does it mean to “be at our best”?  What do we need to sustain our own mental, physical and spiritual health?
Each person will also complete the call with two commitments to their own self-care and recovery.
